Invited as a guest of honor by a famous brand of cognac celebrating its bicentennial anniversary, Stéphane Belcourt (Guillaume de Tonquédec) returns to the hometown he escaped many years ago. Now an acclaimed and openly gay novelist, Stéphane is uneasy to be back and a chance encounter with Lucas (Victor Belmondo, who looks a lot like his famous grandfather, French icon Jean-Paul Belmondo), the son of his first love, upsets him even more.

Memories come rushing back of a passion that could never be revealed between Stéphane (portrayed as a teenager by Jérémy Gillet) and his classmate Thomas (Julien De Saint Jean), the son of local farmers.

Now, Stéphane is determined to find out what happened to Thomas, without betraying their secret.
